International Student Insurance Study in Canada

You are eligible for coverage if: 1. At the time of application: a) You are 69 years or under; and, b) You are not travelling against a physician or other registered medical practitioner’s advice; and, c) You have not been diagnosed with a terminal condition; and, d) You are not receiving palliative care or palliative care has not been recommended; and, 2. On the effective date of the Policy, you are a full-time or part-time international student enrolled in a school in Canada. 3. Coverage will be void if you are not a full-time or part-time international student enrolled in a school in Canada on the effective date of the Policy. Applicable to Family Members of International Students You are eligible for coverage if: 1. At the time of application: a) You are at least 15 days old; and, b) You are 59 years or under; and, c) You are not travelling against a physician or other registered medical practitioner’s advice; and, d) You have not been diagnosed with a terminal condition; and, e) You are not receiving palliative care or palliative care has not been recommended; and, f) You are a family member of someone who meets eligibility criteria no. 1 as specified in the section entitled Eligibility, sub-heading Applicable to International Students; and, 2 On the effective date of the Policy: a) You are a family member sharing living accommodations with an international student who is either insured under a TuGo Student Insurance Policy for International Students or meets the eligibility requirements for a TuGo Student Insurance Policy for International Students; and, b) The international student you are sharing living accommodations with is enrolled full-time or part-time as an international student in a school in Canada. Coverage will be void if the international student is not enrolled full-time or part-time in a school in Canada on the effective date of the Policy
